NEON is looking for a committed and enthusiastic Legal and Business Affairs Intern for the Fall semester. This internship presents a rare opportunity to acquire practical experience in the legal operations of an independent film distribution company. As an intern, you will assist the Legal and Business Affairs team in handling legal matters related to film acquisitions, productions, and general corporate activities. Your responsibilities will include aiding in contract drafting and review, performing legal research, and assisting in the organization and management of legal documents. You'll have the opportunity to discover various aspects of entertainment law while working closely with experienced attorneys who are passionate about mentoring the future stars of the legal profession in the film industry. This internship will offer crucial insights into the legal aspects of independent filmmaking, enabling you to cultivate vital skills and establish networking opportunities within the industry. Key Responsibilities: Assist in drafting, reviewing, and revising contracts related to film acquisitions and productions. Draft correspondence, basic template agreements, and other documents related to film acquisition and development. Conduct legal research on various topics relevant to entertainment law and provide summaries or reports. Support the team in managing and organizing legal documents, including maintaining databases and files. Help with the legal delivery process for films in NEON's library and new acquisitions. Attend meetings and take notes, contributing to discussions and brainstorming sessions. Perform other administrative tasks as needed to support the legal and business affairs team. Program Details: Schedule: 12 hours per week, on-site Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays Dates: August 25
