Southeast Behavioral Hospital Therapist Position

Southeast Behavioral Hospital is excited to begin offering a full continuum of inpatient and outpatient services to the people of Southeast Missouri. Our facility provides a wide range of mental, emotional and behavioral health services for children, teens, adults and seniors experiencing mental health issues, such as depression, anxiety and co-occurring substance use issues. Located on the banks of the Mississippi River, the Cape Girardeau region has long been an area of vibrant commerce and abundance, with significant roots in agriculture and trading posts which produced generations of people full of pride and a determination to put in a hard day's work. This regional economy enjoys many diverse industry sectors, each thriving and enjoying the fruits of their labor. The Cape Girardeau region has significant reach for its consumers and a labor force encompassing a 40-mile radius. Job Summary

The Therapist provides clinical social work services on a designated unit in a manner consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Southeast Behavioral Health. The Therapist is responsible for psychosocial assessments, individual, group and family therapy, participation in treatment team planning, processing commitments, and discharge planning/case management service, crisis intervention and liaison services with referral sources and other departments within the hospital. Qualifications

Education: Master's degree in Social Work, Clinical/Counseling Psychology or Social Services related field required. Experience: Minimum of five (5) years' experience in psychiatric/mental health field. Prefer candidates with a minimum of three (3) years' experience in advanced clinical/management practice. License: Appropriate state licensure in mental health. Preference will be given to candidates holding a LCSW licensure or greater. Additional Requirements: A strong knowledge of TJC, CMS, OSHA regulations, and patient rights standards and all other applicable federal and state laws and regulations governing mental health care facilities. Work Hours: PRN status-Weekends and Holidays as needed. Benefit Highlights
