Quality Engineer II
Semper Valens Solutions is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to support our organization in the Ft. Belvoir, VA area. Responsibilities include developing, implementing, and managing quality on assigned programs over their life cycle, ensuring that contractors meet their responsibilities for product quality in accordance with the contract requirements, and that systems fielded to Soldiers are of high quality and meet user requirements. Other responsibilities include developing quality input for program management documents, coordinating with product managers and other government agencies, reviewing and evaluating system performance, assessing risk, and making recommendations with respect to product acceptability, assuring compliance with contractual scope, schedules, specifications, and other requirements, developing or evaluating sampling plans, participating in post awards, program reviews, design reviews, and conferences, evaluating design efforts, reviewing and ensuring adequacy of all test plans, procedures, and reports, monitoring testing, ensuring effective root cause corrective action for all failures as well as adequacy of validation and implementation plans, evaluating engineering change proposals and waivers/deviations for quality impact, conducting audits of contractor quality management systems and system assembly and test procedures, evaluating contractor quality data, metrics, and process controls, working with contractors to improve their quality system, processes and implementation of process controls, conducting continuing review and evaluation of system performance, providing Product Assurance Suitability Statement for material release, ensuring product quality deficiency reports (PQDR) are adequately addressed, working with DCMA and monitoring support provided on PM programs, ensuring establishment of quality assurance letters of instruction (QALIs) and/or memoranda of agreement (MOA) where required, and reviewing DCMA surveillance plans for adequacy. Qualifications/requirements include a BS degree and 5 years of experience, and a minimum of a Secret Clearance required. About Semper Valens Solutions: Semper Valens Solutions, Inc.
