Engineering Technician
GVI, Inc., a subsidiary of Three Saints Bay, LLC and Federal Government Contractor industry leader, is seeking Engineering Technicians to effectively and efficiently support our customer in Newport, RI. Qualified candidates will be expected to: Perform mechanical/electrical repair and troubleshooting Provide equipment maintenance (routine, preventive, corrective) and repairs and support facilities testing and upkeep Position requirements: US Citizen Ability to obtain and maintain a minimum of Secret Security Clearance; candidates currently possessing an active Secret clearance are preferred. High School Diploma or Equivalent. Familiarity with basic hand tools, basic test equipment Experience on electrical/mechanical repairs and troubleshooting. Prior experience with Navy systems desired but not required. Ability read and interpret technical drawings, and diagrams Familiarity with computer use and ability to create basic reports using MS word Must have a valid U.S. driver's license. Ability to frequently lift 50 lbs. Excellent communication skills (verbal, written), and excellent customer service skill Strong preference will be given to those candidates with experience with the Navy Towed Array Handling Systems Position located in: Newport, RI
