As a People Technology Senior Manager, you'll lead a high-impact team responsible for the design, configuration, and optimization of Workday modules, including HCM, Recruiting, Time Tracking, Absence, and Workday Scheduler. You'll guide cross-functional initiatives, promote operational excellence, and shape our HR technology strategy in close partnership with stakeholders across People Operations, Recruiting, Payroll, and IT. What You'll Do As A People Technology Senior Manager
Lead, coach, and develop a team of Workday Systems Specialists, driving performance, skill development, and career growth.
Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) across key Workday modules, overseeing the full configuration lifecyclefrom requirements gathering through deployment.
Partner with cross-functional teams to design scalable solutions, manage release cycles, and deliver high-impact enhancements.
Oversee program operations including KPI development, tracking of team deliverables, and system performance measurement.
Own release and defect management using tools such as Smartsheets and ServiceNow, ensuring alignment with internal governance and documentation standards.
Ensure Workday configuration and access controls comply with SOX and audit requirements.
Lead planning and execution for Workday's bi-annual releases in collaboration with the People Technology team.
Communicate system changes and project outcomes clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Enable stakeholder self-service through targeted training, job aids, and the Workday Empowerment Program.
Maintain and contribute to internal knowledge resources, including process documentation in platforms like Confluence.
What You'll Bring
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business, or equivalent experience.
5+ years of experience in Workday configuration and administration, including business processes, reporting, and security.
2+ years of experience managing and developing high-performing direct reports.
Deep expertise in Workday modules including HCM Core, Recruiting, Time Tracking, Absence, and Scheduler.
Strong program management skills with experience defining and tracking KPIs and managing team-level deliverables.
Experience working with system integrations and Workday Extend.
Familiarity with Kainos Smart Test and tools like Smartsheets, Confluence, and ServiceNow.
Background in SOX-compliant or regulated environments.
Proficiency with Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs, Slides).
Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
Passion for improving the employee and stakeholder experience through process innovation and scalable technology.
Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
