Engineering Manager, U.S. Operations About the Role A global leader in renewable energy is seeking a highly motivated and skilled
Electrical Engineer - Level II
to support a growing portfolio of utility-scale energy assets. This individual will join the Operations & Maintenance team to provide critical support in high-voltage systems, substations, relay and protection schemes, and SCADA monitoring systems. This hybrid role is based in Chicago and includes periodic travel to field sites. Key Responsibilities Provide technical support for operational renewable energy projects, with a focus on high-voltage electrical systems and substation equipment. Troubleshoot, analyze, and improve the performance and reliability of power protection systems. Collaborate with site operations teams and external vendors on maintenance, commissioning, and system upgrades. Monitor and analyze system data using SCADA and other digital platforms. Participate in root cause analysis for electrical system failures and recommend corrective actions. Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards related to electrical systems. Travel to project sites as needed to provide technical oversight and hands-on support. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (required). 3-5 years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably in the operational phase of renewable energy projects. Proficient in high-voltage systems, including substations and transmission infrastructure. Hands-on experience with protective relays, SCADA systems, and power protection design. Background in utility-scale renewable energy, substation maintenance, or transmission operations. Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Willingness and ability to travel to field locations as needed. This is a
