Job Summary:
The ideal candidate for this nursing role will provide high-quality patient care, utilizing the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, intervene, and evaluate assigned patients. This will involve administering medications and treatments, monitoring for side effects, and documenting patient history, symptoms, medication, and care given.
Responsibilities: Meet expectations of applicable competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders. Provide nursing care using the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients. Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families in accordance with their level of practice. Administer medications and treatments; monitor for side effects and effectiveness of treatment prescribed. Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care given. Audit learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and/or caregivers; identify issues and resources.
Requirements: We require a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (B.S.N.) as preferred educational qualification. 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty is also preferred. A Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory, along with RN License in state of employment or compact. This is a per diem position available on an as-needed basis.
