Role Summary:
As an Electrical Estimator with an industrial and complex commercial background, you'll be responsible for preparing accurate, competitive cost estimates for electrical components of projects—focusing on take-offs, material and labor costing, profitability analysis, and vendor negotiations. Your estimates will drive bidding success and project delivery within our hands-on, self-performing model.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze blueprints, specifications, and project documentation to perform detailed material take-offs and labor estimates
Prepare and submit cost-effective, competitive project bids and support estimation review meetings
Monitor and maintain up-to-date cost databases reflecting material and labor fluctuations
Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to drive cost-effective procurement
Collaborate with Project Managers and field teams to clarify scope, evaluate risk, and ensure seamless handoffs from estimation through execution
Conduct site visits as needed to verify field conditions, clarify assumptions, and enhance estimation accuracy
Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in electrical estimating or project cost management within industrial or complex commercial construction settings (e.g., hospitals, airports, government, industrial facilities)
Proficiency in take-off tools and estimation software (e.g., Bluebeam, Accubid, Esticom)
Strong knowledge of electrical codes, systems, and standards
Exceptional analytical, mathematical, and attention-to-detail skills
Excellent communication and negotiation skills for liaising with suppliers, field teams, and project leaders
Flexibility to travel or relocate to Florida to support project needs and team collaboration
