Mid-Level Java Developer
to join our team of developers building the next generation of customer engagement systems for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). The ideal candidate will help build Web and backend application/services for a credentialing/case management system using Java/Spring-based REST APIs along with a Web 2.0 framework in a continuous integration environment. Hybrid role - On-site in Colorado Springs, CO. Must be able to work on-site 3 days per week (Tuesday - Thursday). Candidate must have the ability to report up to 5 days per week as needed. Day to Day Work Responsibilities: Lead the design and development of applications for a large-scale Federal IT Program using Java and Spring-based REST APIs along with a Web 2.0 framework in a continuous integration environment. Lead software development teams in implementing solutions and conducting detailed design reviews. Design and build secure web and back-end systems for credentialing and case management. Work with Java/Spring-based REST APIs and modern web frameworks in a continuous integration environment. Collaborate with users and stakeholders to define and deliver scalable software solutions. Enhance functionality by integrating open-source tools and modern UI technologies. Develop clean, testable code with an eye for refactoring and optimization. Write clear technical documentation and contribute to platform improvements. Qualifications Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree with 5+ years' experience, or Associate's degree with 7+ years' experience, or HS diploma/equivalent with 9+ years' experience. US Citizenship (no dual citizenship). Active Secret clearance required. Recent experience developing software solutions using React, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Spring Boot, JSP. At least 2 years of experience with Java development tools (Eclipse, Git). Recent Java enterprise application development experience. Preferred Qualifications: 8+ years developing enterprise applications following Agile principles. 1-2 years experience with Redux. Knowledge of database schema design (SQL Server, Oracle). 3 years of Linux/Unix shell scripting experience. Knowledge of Entrust Authority Security Toolkit for Java. Experience in large-scale Federal IT programs. Salary Range:
