We are seeking a Senior Principal Software Development Engineer with a focus on developing complex systems in C++, to work onsite in Fort Wayne, IN and be part of the Battle Management Software (BMS) Department. What You Will Do: Design, develop, and test software based on software trouble reports in an agile, collaborative environment, delivering build to site twice a year. Work collaboratively with systems and SI&T engineers to analyze, implement, and test system modification requests to the existing system baseline. Participate in strategic activities related to execution and delivery. Align to the core Agile and DevSecOps principles of collaborative operation across the entire value stream, delivering high-frequency, high-quality deployments to our customers. Qualifications You Must Have: Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) A minimum of 10 years of prior relevant software development experience Experience with software development, test, and/or integration using C, C++ or Ada Experience with script languages (C shell, Perl) Experience using debugging tools to quickly identify and fix software bugs, as well as optimize code for performance Active and transferrable Secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. US citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
