Software Engineer - Embedded Systems
Join a cross-functional team developing and testing embedded systems that support mission-critical Land & Air Systems technologies, helping to keep our service members and nation secure. Responsibilities: Lead the full software development lifecycle for embedded systems including requirements analysis, design, coding, integration, and testing. Develop and maintain embedded software using C, C++, and Python in Linux and RTOS environments. Perform hardware/software integration, ensuring seamless performance of embedded systems. Apply DO-178 software engineering standards throughout development. Contribute to Agile-based project planning, execution, and reviews. Support technical documentation and formal verification processes in compliance with defense/aerospace requirements. Qualifications: U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law. Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering or related STEM field; Master's degree preferred. 8+ years of relevant experience (or 6+ years with a Master's). Active DoD Secret clearance required at time of hire. Proficient in C, C++, and Python for embedded software development. Strong experience with Linux, RTOS, and hardware/software integration. Familiarity with DO-178 or similar safety-critical software life cycles. Agile development experience preferred. On-site work or travel may be required depending on project needs.
