Senior Attorney
with deep experience in
regulatory, commercial, and contracts law —ideally within the
energy or nuclear sectors —to support the
Palo Verde Generating Station , the largest power producer in the U.S. In this highly visible role, you’ll provide legal counsel on complex issues that shape company policy, commercial strategy, and regulatory compliance. You’ll collaborate with senior leaders and cross-functional teams, delivering practical, forward-thinking guidance in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment. What you’ll do: Advise on regulatory filings, commercial agreements, and legal risks related to nuclear and utility operations. Provide guidance on contracts, procurement, licensing, and compliance with state and federal regulatory bodies (e.g., NRC, FERC, ACC). Lead complex legal projects from negotiation through resolution, engaging with senior leadership and external stakeholders. Interpret evolving regulatory frameworks and translate legal guidance into business-aligned strategies. Draft, review, and negotiate agreements to support long-term commercial goals and operational stability. We’re looking for someone who has: Strong experience advising in-house or clients in the
energy, utility, or nuclear sectors . Familiarity with federal and state regulatory agencies and proceedings. A track record of delivering business-savvy legal advice on high-impact commercial and regulatory matters. Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the confidence to advise senior leadership. Degree from an accredited law school; Licensed state bar member in good standing May be required to become a member of the State Bar of Ar
