Location: Plano, TX - Hybrid Job Description Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field with relevant work experience. An IoT architect needs to stay up-to-date on IoT business trends, data governance, and best practices to ensure security and performance. Technical skills required include proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, C#; experience with embedded systems, network topologies, transport protocols, cloud computing, stream processing, analytics, and application development. Strong communication and leadership skills are essential for working closely with business leaders to resolve problems. Skills and Qualifications 12 years of professional software engineering experience, with at least 8 years in relevant Cloud PaaS/SaaS technologies. Hands-on experience with IoT tools and technologies, preferably Azure (IoT Central, IoT Hub, Azure Sphere, IoT Edge, Digital Twin, Stream Analytics, Data Lake, Timeseries). Over 10 years’ experience as an IoT Architect, designing and implementing IoT solutions. Proficiency in programming languages like .NET, Python, Java, Node.js, Go. Experience with interfacing to OPC UA and Modbus servers via Python or Java. Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, AWS RDS, DynamoDB, S3, MongoDB. Knowledge of clean code principles, edge applications, and microservices architecture. Experience with cloud-native application development, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes). Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps tools (JIRA, Confluence, Azure DevOps), PowerShell, Linux Shell scripting, Terraform is a plus.
