An oil & gas client in the Austin, TX area is looking for a Software Engineer to rebuild their encrypted POS system for all transactions. This role will be hybrid - for the first six months, you are expected to be in-office 5 days/week. After the first six months, you will be required to be in-office on Mondays + 2 other days/week. This role is 100% application development. In this role, you will be working with hardware and simulators to run your . Net, C#, & C++ code. You will be initially focused on entirely new product development. Once the product is released next summer, you will be expected to maintain it moving forward. The team works in a Windows environment, practicing Agile methodology. You will be required to run unit tests on your code, and work with the QA team to further validate and run integration tests. Responsibilities May Include: -Understanding, designing, and developing new functions in both client's payment products and client's integrations with 3rd party payment products -Strong willingness to learn and pick up new technology / project with minimal guidance or documents -Participating in Scrum, Scrum plan, review and retrospective, and Scrum product backlog grooming sessions -Completing individual assignments defined in each Scrum sprint with minimal supervision -Assisting to triage customers reported field issues closely with New Product Support and Help Desk teams -Applying good judgment in meeting tight schedules while maintaining superior quality -Performing design reviews and code reviews -Collaborating with payment team members to ensure project success and champion high quality throughout the project
