Summary:
The System Administrator is responsible for effective provisioning, installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related IT infrastructure. This individual participates in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure. This individual ensures that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational values, enabling staff, volunteers, and partners.
Responsibilities: Participate in the management and deployment of the physical, virtual, and cloud server environments. Participate in the management and configuration of enterprise systems and applications. Review and patch servers/systems as required by security policies and initiatives. Apply OS and 3rd party patches and upgrades on a regular basis. Understands security best practices in server configuration, tool development, and access controls. Responsible for Office365 environment, including Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, and Mobile Device Management. Work to define and enhance IT policies and processes for their area across all locations. Support team continuous improvement by looking for ways to streamline and automate processes and improve customer satisfaction. Ensure that servers and applications are being backed up and adhering to data retention policies with respect to best practices. Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems, and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups. Repair and recover from hardware or software failures. Coordinate and communicate with impacted constituencies. Provide Tier II/other support per request from various constituencies. Investigate and troubleshoot issues. Lead project teams to deliver new technologies and improve utilization of IT Assets. Monitor and respond to systems outages as required. Respond to support calls in an on-call rotation. Track SSL Certificates and renew prior to expiration. Assist the development of help desk staff. Track and Report on KPIs for the department Create and Maintain Operating System Gold images to be used in deployments. Prepare Presentations for proposed new Hardware and Software for Executive Leadership Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor (4-year) degree with a technical major; or equivalent experience. 5+ years system administration experience. Proficient in Microsoft Server Administration, Azure, Linux/Unix, VMWare, Veeam (certifications are a plus). Strong analytical abilities. Excellent communication and organization skills. Responsibilities sometimes require working evenings and weekends, sometimes with little advance notice. Experience with SAP S4/HANA or ERP system support is highly desirable

Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions on the site including exposure to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud and hearing protection is required. The position regularly works near moving mechanical parts and in cold, hot, and outdoor conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust.

Work is primarily performed in an office setting in a manufacturing environment requiring the ability to sit, talk, hear, frequent walking, standing, and sitting; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision. Ability to use standard office equipment such as telephone, computer, and copier.
