This role is responsible for leading and managing GIS (Geographic Information Systems) projects that support Transmission and Large Pipeline business units . Key Responsibilities:
Project Leadership & GIS Implementation:
- Lead and manage Large Pipeline GIS projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely delivery within budget and quality standards.
- Develop and implement new GIS processes to support the integration and management of Transmission and Large Pipeline data .
- Create detailed project plans , including timelines, milestones, resource allocation, and risk management strategies .
- Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders, addressing any scope changes or challenges.
- Work closely with Transmission and Large Pipeline Operating business units to understand data needs and operational requirements.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams (IT, engineering, operations) to seamlessly integrate GIS processes.
- Facilitate training sessions and workshops for end-users to ensure effective adoption of new GIS tools and workflows.
- Stay current with GIS industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to pipeline operations.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies related to GIS data management and pipeline operations.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Master's degree is a plus).
- Minimum of 5 years of project management experience in the Utility or Pipeline Industry .
- Experience working with Transmission and Large Pipeline data and operations is highly desirable.
- Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget .
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies .
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional Engineering (PE) License is a plus for level 3 position.
