POSITION SUMMARY
A staff accountant is responsible for a wide range of accounting tasks including preparing and maintaining financial records, reports, and statements.
RESPONSIBILITES Review and posts AP invoices. Maintain daily banking spreadsheets, cash receipts, cash disbursements, and intercompany loan activity. Prepare general ledger journal entries. Review and post accounts payable invoices. Perform month end account analysis. Upload trial balance into Parent company portal each month end. Track various month end GL accounts for Parent company review. Prepare operational analysis for productivity charts and labor statistics Collaborate with the credit team for customer account reconciliations. Generate payroll journal entries and month end accruals. Extract and file sales tax reports. Assist in Escheatment preparation and filings. Prepare for and assist with internal and external audits. Assist with preparing and processing payroll as needed. Perform additional taks and responsibilities as directed by supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in accounting or similar field of study. Two years of experience directly related to the duties of the position. High level of attention to detail and accuracy. Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-sovling ability. Intermediate to advance level ability with Excel. Effective written and verbal communication skills.
