This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead testing efforts for critical software solutions supporting a federal agency. As an Automation Tester, you will design and execute automated and manual tests to ensure the highest levels of quality, functionality, and performance. You will lead a team of testers, collaborate closely with development teams, and help maintain and enhance automation frameworks. This position demands a detail-oriented professional passionate about improving software reliability in a fast-paced, multi-stakeholder environment.
Accountabilities:
Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts using tools such as Cypress, Playwright, and JIRA Analyze requirements to create detailed test cases and scenarios for functional, regression, and performance testing Identify, document, and track defects with clear reproduction steps Collaborate with development teams to integrate testing into continuous delivery pipelines Perform manual testing as needed and validate code changes using GitHub workflows Maintain and improve test automation frameworks and supporting documentation Stay up-to-date with emerging testing tools, techniques, and industry best practices Take on additional responsibilities to support team goals and project success
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in automation testing Proficiency with Cypress, Playwright, JIRA, Jenkins, and version control tools like GitHub Strong scripting skills in Java or Python and working knowledge of SQL Excellent problem-solving, analytical, communication, and collaboration skills Experience working in SAFe/Agile environments and familiarity with DevSecOps practices Ability to obtain government clearance is required Experience with federal agencies such as the Department of Veterans Affairs is a plus
