Pennoni is currently
seeking full-time and part-time
AWS Certified Welding Inspectors for QA inspection at fabrication shops producing bridge and highway structures for transportation agencies in the Midwest.
Required Experience Is Consistent With, But Not Limited To
Inspection of welding, steel fabrication, coatings, expansion joints, bridge bearings, sign structures, bridge beams, drainage structures, and other material. Monitoring work for compliance with approved shop drawings, standards, and specifications Communicating with fabricators, clients, and engineers Production of daily written shop reports
Required Attributes
Minimum Education: High School AWS Certified Welding Inspector Computer Skills: Microsoft windows and Microsoft Office applications Good verbal and written communication skills Must be able to work well independently and with others Reliable transportation
Preferred Attributes
Experience performing QA/QC during steel bridge or highway structure fabrication is a plus. Non-Destructive Testing certifications (e.g.: UT, RT, MT, PT) is a plus. AWS D1.1/D1.5 experience is a plus. Coating inspection experience is a plus.
