Senior Claims Specialist – Cyber, Media, and Crime Claims
to join our North America Claim Team. The role involves managing primary and excess claims arising from policies issued to AXIS Global Markets Cyber insureds. Responsibilities include: Managing claims including investigation, analysis, and coverage evaluation. Reviewing claims to determine the nature of the loss, coverage, and scope, guiding settlement strategies. Developing and maintaining relationships with internal and external partners, including legal and claims professionals. Collaborating with legal teams on disputes, litigation, arbitration, and coverage issues. Formulating claims strategies, managing outside counsel, and controlling costs. Communicating with senior executives, brokers, reinsurers, and underwriters regarding claim trends and large losses. Leading claim audits, analyzing coverage trends, and developing processes for handling complex claims. Key skills and qualifications include: 5-10+ years of claims management experience in Casualty and/or Specialty Lines. Leadership, organizational, and legal experience preferred. Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills. Bachelor’s degree required; JD a plus. Experience with complex coverage analysis, evaluation, and reserving. This is a mid-senior level, full-time position based in New York, NY, with travel requirements. We offer a competitive salary range of $125,000–$155,000, and a culture aligned with our core values of People, Decisiveness, Excellence, and Stronger Together.
