Senior AWS Cloud Solutions Architect
Location:
San Antonio, TX (1 onsite TS/SCI), Remote allowed (1 with Secret clearance)
Status:
Full-time
Clearance Level:
TS/SCI (onsite) and Secret (remote)
Education:
Bachelors degree in a related field required (Masters may substitute for 2 years of experience)
Certs: For
the candidate to meet this role's requirement with at least
two (2) of the following AWS certifications , in lieu of just the "preferred" one:
Preferred: AWS Solutions Architect Professional AWS DevOps Engineer Professional AWS SysOps Administrator Associate AWS Advanced Networking Specialty
Required:
IAT Level II Certification
Preferred:
AWS Solutions Architect Professional
Salary: 100,000-135,000

We are seeking a highly skilled
Senior AWS Cloud Solutions Architect
to design, implement, and manage secure, scalable cloud solutions supporting Air Force cryptologic and cyber systems. This position is integral to developing cloud-based applications that meet mission-critical requirements across multiple security domains (Unclassified, Secret, Top Secret). The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with DoD cloud integrations, DevSecOps practices, and AWS-native services.

Required Skills
Minimum 10 years of experience in cloud architecture, software systems, or cyber infrastructure 3+ years recent experience with DoD AWS (Unclassified, Secret, and Top-Secret) cloud environments Expertise with: Kubernetes, EKS, Docker, OpenShift AWS EC2, VPC, Lambda, CloudFormation Hybrid deployments (VMs, OVAs, containers) Strong grasp of microservices, DevSecOps pipelines, and CI/CD practices Ability to assess infrastructure for performance, reliability, scalability, and cost-efficiency Experience working in Agile environments (SAFe preferred) Excellent communication skills and ability to lead technical discussions with stakeholders ,
