Overview
We are seeking an experienced Cloud Data Engineer to support a large-scale modernization initiative focused on enhancing software development and delivery processes.
The ideal candidate will possess strong experience in cloud-based data engineering on Azure, AWS, or both.
Professionals with deep expertise in one platform and exposure to the other are welcome to apply.
Key Responsibilities
Design, implement, and maintain scalable data pipelines and cloud-native data solutions in Azure and/or AWS.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, data analysts, and architects to ensure efficient data flow across platforms.
Build and manage cloud-based data ingestion, transformation, and storage using services such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, AWS Glue, AWS Lambda, and Amazon S3.
Support data integration efforts between Oracle databases and cloud-based services.
Assist in migrating on-premise data systems to cloud infrastructure while ensuring data integrity.
Apply data quality, governance, and security best practices throughout the data development lifecycle.
Troubleshoot and support data-related issues in cloud environments.
Document architecture, workflows, and system interactions to aid collaboration and knowledge transfer.
Perform Oracle SQL and PL/SQL development in the current Oracle environment.
Required Qualifications
5+ years of experience in data engineering, cloud engineering, or a related field. Strong expertise in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL for data extraction and transformation. Solid understanding of ETL/ELT pipelines and modern data architecture principles. Experience in data modeling, performance tuning, and data security. Proficiency in scripting or programming languages such as Python or PowerShell is a plus. Familiarity with DevOps tools and practices in cloud environments. Experience with Microsoft Fabric and related tools is a plus. Strong communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills. Preferred Qualifications
Microsoft Certified: Azure Enterprise Data Analyst Associate (DP-700) or equivalent certifications. AWS Certified Data Analytics Specialty or AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate/Professional. Experience working with state or federal government agencies. Certifications
Microsoft or AWS data-related certifications preferred.
