Accessibility Specialist
Innova Solutions is hiring an Accessibility Specialist for a large enterprise Insurance firm. Position Type: Fulltime, Contract Duration: 6+ months Location: NYC - Hybrid role. Local candidates only! This resource will be leading the development, implementation, and ongoing management of their organization's accessibility framework for websites and applications. The ideal candidate should have strong project management skills, experience working within an enterprise type/large organization, ensuring compliance with accessibility standards, and driving initiatives that promote inclusive digital experiences. Needs to have the ability to develop, implement and maintain a comprehensive accessibility framework aligned with industry standards (e.g., WCAG, ADA, Section 508). Key Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive accessibility framework aligned with industry standards (e.g., WCAG, ADA, Section 508). Lead cross-functional teams to integrate accessibility best practices into website and application development processes. Manage accessibility projects from initiation through delivery, ensuring timely and within-budget execution. Conduct accessibility audits, assessments, and gap analyses to identify areas for improvement. Collaborate with design, development, and content teams to ensure accessibility compliance throughout the project lifecycle. Provide guidance, training, and support to teams on accessibility standards and best practices. Monitor and report on accessibility compliance metrics and progress. Stay current with evolving accessibility regulations, standards, and emerging technologies. Engage with external vendors or consultants as needed to support accessibility initiatives.
