The Secondary Operator performs secondary operations on molded plastic parts, assisting in other areas of plastic production as requested.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Understand instructions before staring operations and demonstrate the proper way to do the job Perform operations on molded plastic parts as instructed Inspect parts for visual flaws Separate "good" parts from "bad" parts Use equipment and supplies as instructed Maintain accurate counts Notify Secondary Operations Supervisor of "bad" parts or problems in secondary operations, maintenance, or any parts not replaced in packing box as requested Assist in training other secondary operators as requested Monitor and maintain secondary areas for neatness and cleanliness Perform any other duties as requested by the Secondary Operations Supervisor Complete work sheets daily Utilize six-sigma quality tools, when appropriate, to define, measure, analyze, improve and control processes and outcomes. Responsible to maintain & support processes, procedures & K.P.I.'s owned by your position. Review of all procedures related to your job per "HR LG 01 Training Matrix" Completion within time stated of all training required by Job Description in "HR LG 01 Training Matrix" Perform other duties as assigned. Ability to understand verbal instructions Willingness to work beyond normal hours if required QUALIFICATIONS:
High School diploma or equivalent Minimum 18 years old Must be able to identify small detail Knowledge of visual discrepancies in plastic molded parts WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The performance of this position will require exposure to the manufacturing areas where all areas require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, hearing protection, steel toe shoes, and other mandatory safety equipment. For the most part, ambient temperatures with typical plant lighting and manufacturing equipment are present throughout the facility. PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Sit or stand as needed. Walking primarily on a level surface for periodic periods throughout the day. Reaching above shoulder height, below the waist, or lifting as required to reach documents or store materials throughout the workday. Proper lifting techniques required. Ability and comfortability to work in small confine spaces while following proper safety protocol. Ability to accomplish the physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodation. SAFETY AND POLICY PRACTICES:
