The ideal candidate will enhance the efficiency of patient care delivery and ensure smooth day-to-day operations within clinics or medical offices.
Job Responsibilities
- Prepare exam rooms, assist physicians during examinations, and perform basic clinical procedures.
- Take vital signs, collect patient histories, and update electronic medical records (EMRs).
- Administer medications and injections as directed by healthcare providers.
- Conduct routine laboratory tests and specimen collection, including phlebotomy if certified.
- Coordinate patient scheduling, referrals, and insurance verification.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment in accordance with infection control protocols.
- Deliver patient education on medications, treatments, and general health practices.
- Completion of a Medical Assistant program accredited by CAAHEP or ABHES.
- Current certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or equivalent).
- CPR/BLS certification required.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a clinical setting preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
- Proficient with EMR systems and general office equipment.
