Travel Nursing Job Details Location: Plattsburgh, NY 12901 (New York healthcare jobs) Position: Travel Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) Setting: Resource Pool - Med/Surg Telemetry (includes ED Hold patients) Employment Type: Travel nursing contract Shift: 12-hour nights Hours per Week: 36 Assignment Duration: 4 weeks (Start: 8/7/2025 - End: 9/7/2025) Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend Floating: Required to float to R5, R6, R7, and other telemetry units as scheduled Orientation: 1 day Dress Code: Navy blue & white scrubs (solid colors in any combination) Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1990-$2130 Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (New York RN license preferred; must be on file at time of submission) Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience Recent experience with Epic EMR (within the past 2 years - required) American Heart Association BLS certification (required) NIH Stroke Scale certification (must be obtained prior to start) CMSRN certification preferred Reliable transportation required (public transportation not accessible) Med/Surg Tele RN Responsibilities Provide high-quality nursing care to adult patients (ages 25-99) across Med/Surg Telemetry units, including oncology, orthopedics, urology, and ED Hold patients Float between resource pool units (R5, R6, R7, and other telemetry units) as scheduled Perform unit-specific clinical procedures: IV insertions, bladder scans, blood draws from central lines, and glucose monitoring Collaborate with CNAs/PCTs, unit clerks, and respiratory therapists to ensure comprehensive patient care Document all nursing care and interventions accurately in Epic EMR Adhere to facility protocols, dress code, and infection control policies Participate in orientation and ongoing clinical education as required Apply now to join our dedicated healthcare team as a Travel Med/Surg Telemetry RN in Plattsburgh, NY.
