Join the CTCU Team! Are you looking for a rewarding job with daytime hours and paid holidays? We are seeking a knowledgeable Computer Operator to provide technical guidance to our IT department by ensuring the smooth and effective operations of CTCU's information and operating systems, hardware and software, training, and support. We are looking for this individual to be available to work on-site Mon-Fri with the flexibility to work Saturdays, if needed. We also require this individual to be available to work at our Gurnee, Grayslake, or Lake Villa locations.
Basic Expectations for Computer Operator:
- Follow operating instructions and schedules, enter commands and respond to system messages to complete tasks relating to maintenance and processing of customer account information.
- Assist in supporting and maintaining core processing system and other associated application servers.
- Manage changes to user accounts in core system due to hiring, dismissal, transfers, promotions, etc.
- Assist with identifying, researching, and resolving technical problems.
- Assist in development of internal documentation of procedures and back up core processing system and network data files.
- Other job duties as assigned.
Some of the things we look for in a Computer Operator are:
- Six months of similar or related IT (information technology) experience required
- Ability to multitask and prioritize competing deadlines in a timely manner
- Spectacular communication and interpersonal skills
- Must understand industry standards regarding network and access control security procedures
Compensation & Benefits:
Budgeted starting hourly rate: $20.18/hour.

Matching Contributions after 1000 hours of service, 21 years of age and six months of employment. You may begin your contribution on the first pay period of the calendar quarter after one full month of employment. Entry is quarterly. Safe Harbor contributions. CTCU provides every eligible employee a contribution of 3% of compensation. In order to participate in the employer contributions under Safe Harbor, you must be 21 years of age, have 12 months of service and work at least 1,000 hours during that 12 months. Safe Harbor funds are 100% vested and employees who have met eligibility requirements are eligible to receive the Safe Harbor contribution by completing one hour of service. Safe Harbor entry is semi-annually.
