Introduction

Visium Resources has been asked to identify qualified candidates for this Systems Engineer position. This position is a contract opportunity which is expected to be Hybrid with Onsite up to 4x per week; subject to change and 1 day remote for a duration of 1 year+

The Systems Engineering Team supports Cruise Lines, Vacation Clubs and other areas of the Resorts. This team provides 24x7 engineering and operational support for shipboard, on-premise and cloud-based technologies.

What You'll Do:

n
• Maintain Helm Charts and deployment requirements for Kubernetes (Rancher)
n
• Ensure SSL Certificates across multiple domains are renewed timely without outages
n
• Complete Akamai CDN implementations and updates
n
• Diagnose and repair system outages
n
• Triage and remediate security requirements across cloud and on-premises systems
n
• Develop and maintain engineering and architectural standards for on premise/hybrid compute, storage and data protections services
n
• Provide system reports on both a regular and ad-hoc basis.
n
• Assist in creation and documentation of day-to-day operational procedures.
n

Job Requirements:

Required:

n
• Must have Experience in both GCP and AWS Cloud
n
• Experience with Kubernetes - Rancher as Orchestrator
n
• Carries and maintains a relevant and up to date skill set in the areas of Linux, Windows, VMware, clustering technologies, resilient infrastructure design and deployment and automation.
n
• Must be highly resourceful and independent with the ability to quickly learn multiple disciplines and achieve manufacturer certification levels
n
• Ability to describe and differentiate the features, benefits and disadvantages of competing virtualization and cloud platforms
n
• Proven experience in overseeing the design, development and implementation of software systems, applications, and related products.
n
• Improve automation and productivity of provisioning and maintenance through scripting enhancements
n
• The ideal candidate will have expertise in multiple Public Cloud providers like AWS, Google Cloud Services, Azure and/or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure
n

Education :

• Bachelor's or Equivalent Work Experience
n

Qualifications :

• Rancher Kubernetes Containerization Experience o Akamai (CDN) 
n
• Containerization Experience (Docker or Kubernetes) 
n
• AVI Load balance Experience 
n
• Global On-Call Experience Enterprise Support
