Description
The Investment Operations Analyst, Trading is responsible for performing operational activities pertaining to centralized trading, overall firm trading and servicing of client investment accounts for the firm.
Principal Accountabilities:
Trading Develop expertise in, serve as administrator of, and manage all facets of Orion and Orion Eclipse trading platform Process and confirm all firm trades with custodians Research and quickly resolve rejected trade orders Implement model changes from the Investment Strategy Group and advisory teams Complete regularly recurring checks and quality control functions to assist the Investment and Compliance teams Communicate with necessary internal parties on various trade-related concerns Develop and display confident and accurate decision-making in fast-paced trading environment Support advisory teams ensuring account and strategy setup aligns with client needs
Centralized Trading Execute daily trade requests from advisory teams via Salesforce CRM Collaborate with internal departments to support full adoption of centralized trading Manage and execute large-scale account rebalancing Audit and analyze trade data for exceptions and outstanding issues
Trade Corrections Provide guidance and review trade error/correction information provided by advisory teams, and ensure corrections are processed with custodians in an accurate and timely manner Resolve trade correction cases not processed by custodians through detailed profit and loss calculations
Service Support/Administration Regularly communicate with advisory teams via phone, email, and internal communication platforms Train and educate advisory teams on Investment Department processes and software tools Develop and update procedures for current and future investment products/services Manage all custodial and vendor relationships Approach work, interactions, and relationships in a manner consistent with Company values and mission Support Compliance and Investment Department by providing necessary data for regulatory requests Maintain the highest Compliance standards by adhering to the firm's Human Resources guidelines, Compliance policies and procedures, professional designation standards, and industry regulatory standards to mitigate risk to the firm
Requirements
General understanding and knowledge of investments, trading and financial markets Keen attention to detail and strong business mathematical skills Excellent at prioritization and planning; able to accurately and efficiently multi-task Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team Proven problem-solver with strong technical and analytical abilities Proven excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for communicating clearly and concisely with internal teams and external vendors Highly skilled in Microsoft Excel and possess intermediate/advanced knowledge of formulas Experience with Salesforce CRM Personal integrity and ability to discreetly handle and manage confidential information Strong work ethic and willingness to constantly learn and adapt in an ever-changing business environment
Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or Investment-related field is required A minimum of one to two (1-2) years' prior investment operations/financial services experience preferred
