Job Title: Senior Polymer Chemist – Polyoxazoline (POx) Synthesis Location: Raritan, NJ (On-site) Duration: 12 Months Job Summary: Client is seeking an experienced and innovative

Senior Polymer Chemist

with deep expertise in the

synthesis of Polyoxazoline (POx) derivatives . This role plays a critical part in translating polymer concepts from

laboratory scale to pilot-scale production , in close collaboration with

Polymer Process Engineers

and cross-functional R&D teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in

polymer chemistry , including

cationic ring-opening polymerization , and demonstrated experience in

molecular modeling, analytical characterization, and scale-up development . This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of polymer applications in advanced medical technologies. Key Responsibilities: Lead and execute

lab-scale synthesis

of Polyoxazoline (POx) derivatives using innovative and established methods. Apply

molecular modeling

to predict polymer behavior and optimize synthetic pathways. Characterize synthesized materials using

NMR, GPC, FTIR , and other analytical tools to ensure high purity and performance. Partner with

Polymer Process Engineers

to transition lab processes to

pilot-scale production , optimizing process parameters for scale-up. Prepare and maintain detailed

experimental records, technical reports, and presentations

for internal and external stakeholders. Collaborate with

formulation scientists, analytical chemists, process engineers, and quality teams

to integrate POx materials into product development. Contribute to

technical reviews, innovation strategy, and troubleshooting efforts

within the polymer development pipeline. Required Qualifications: Ph.D. or Master’s degree in

Polymer Chemistry, Chemistry, Materials Science , or a closely related discipline. 3–5 years of industrial experience in

polymer synthesis and process development . Proven expertise in

POx synthesis , especially using

cationic ring-opening polymerization

or similar methods. Hands-on experience scaling polymer production from

laboratory to pilot level . Proficiency with

polymer characterization

and

analytical instrumentation . Seniority level
