SummaryResponsible for the application and validation of our chemical processes, which are performed on precision machined parts in a manner consistent and in compliance to Government, Customer, and In-house requirements and/or Specifications.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesWork with and around various chemical treatment processes, including but not limited to the following: i.e. chromate conversion coating, vacuum impregnation, anodize, and passivationResponsible for accuracy of own workUse inspection gauges and equipment to check workMust be able to wear personal safety gear as required to meet OSHA regulations, ie., goggles, gloves, back belt, apron, and respirator when requiredBasic blueprint reading and mil spec knowledgeFill out required regulated paperwork and required documentationCompetenciesTo perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:Quality - Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; monitors own work to ensure quality.Safety and Security - Observes safety and security procedures; determines appropriate action beyond guidelines; reports potentially unsafe conditions; uses equipment and materials properly.QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.Mathematical SkillsAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.Reasoning AbilityAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
