Salary Range: $225,000 – $260,000+
A top-tier international law firm is seeking a talented antitrust associate with 2–4 years of experience to join its Chicago or Washington, DC office. This is a premier opportunity to work on complex, high-impact antitrust matters across M&A, merger clearance, investigations, and litigation.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise clients on a broad range of antitrust matters including merger review, investigations, and enforcement
- Assist with HSR filings and matters involving competitive overlaps and vertical relationships
- Support complex M&A transactions from a regulatory competition perspective
- Conduct legal research, draft memoranda, and prepare client presentations and regulatory submissions
- Participate in client meetings and work collaboratively with internal teams and external co-counsel
- 2–4 years of antitrust experience, ideally in a major law firm or regulatory agency
- Experience with M&A antitrust reviews, HSR filings, and competition-related counseling
- Demonstrated ability to manage matters efficiently and with attention to detail
- Excellent academic credentials and communication skills
- Admission to the Illinois or DC Bar (or ability to waive in)
Base salary range: $225,000 – $260,000 depending on class year and experience
