Job Description Analyze user requirements and business problems, design & develop programs, and maintain & install vendor-supplied software. Analyze and interpret complex data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for the organization. Develop and maintain iSeries-based software applications, including the core system (Horizon) and various vendor software applications and interfaces. Write code in languages such as RPGLE, PHP, HTML, DHTML, JavaScript, CSS, and HTML5. Design and code screen layouts, printed outputs, and interfaces with other systems. Integrate applications and develop interfaces between disparate systems. Translate designs and specifications into applications, compile code, and debug errors. Provide innovative solutions to complex business problems using technology. Research and evaluate software documentation; recommend control parameters and processing specifications. Create or review documentation on installation and operating procedures. Support users by consulting on software functions and developing enhancements. Communicate effectively with stakeholders, translating technical jargon into layman's terms. Maintain technical documentation, including job run and rerun specifications. Create test transactions, run tests, and analyze code to ensure programs meet specifications. Conduct unit and system integration testing; support user acceptance testing. Implement solutions for scheduler applications following standard procedures. Research and evaluate software and hardware to assist in programming and platform selection. Collaborate with vendors for seamless system and application integration. Study vendor software documentation; recommend processing control parameters. Design and code interfaces and outputs. Convert designs into code, compile, and debug programs. Resolve processing issues and apply maintenance changes. Support software applications and programs developed by FCS. Be self-motivated, quick to learn, adaptable to new technologies, and apply them to business and financial applications. Stay updated with industry trends and technological advancements. Occasional weekend and after-hours work, including on-call duties. Perform other duties as assigned. Position level depends on experience. Physical Requirements: Remain seated for extended periods.
