MECHANICAL ENGINEER(REVIT)
Position Description -
Senior Mechanical Engineer Responsible for the following: Preparing calculations to support design of hydronic systems including chilled and hot water
Some experience with Trane Trace or Carrier HAP useful but not required Preparing ductwork calculations using static regain, equal friction, or velocity methods
Preparing calculations to support HVAC design for various applications including commercial, utility, and industrial Preparing specifications for construction of building systems including Fire Protection, HVAC, plumbing, process piping using MasterSpec format Other Position attributes:
Self-Starter Ability to work in team environment Flexibility is accepting assignments
Professional Engineer Registration in Illinois preferred; EIT also acceptable.
Experience Attributes: Knowledge of HVAC fans, chillers, duct sizing, boilers, piping design, controls
Knowledge of valves, control valves, HVAC and process instrumentation and control Knowledge of heat transfer, psychrometrics, and fluid mechanics. Knowledge of AutoCAD a plus, but not essential.
Knowledge of Autodesk Revit, but not essential. Knowledge of 3D CAD, BIM preferred Knowledge of Window and MS Office applications including Excel, Word, and Power point essential
