Senior Archaeologist /Project Manager/Principal Investigator position to support our Western USA operations on small, medium and large-scale projects. ERG is a virtual-work-friendly organization. Candidates based in California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Nevada, Arizona, Colorado and Utah are with the ideal candidate being based in the greater San Diego, CA area. Candidates outside the /ideal locations may be considered. The Senior Archaeologist will: Serve as Project Manager for various contracts in the western USA Track budgets and project schedules Serve as a Principal Investigator that is permittable in California Prepare reports Utilize extensive knowledge of Section 106 requirements and other regulations regarding cultural resources to guide compliance requirements Request cultural resource records searches and literature reviews Prepare proposals Visit project sites and attend client/stakeholder meetings (total travel anticipated to be less than 15%) Peer review project products Mentor staff Collaborate with the broader leadership team Perform other duties The Ideal Candidate Will Meet/Exceed the Following Qualifications Master's degree in Anthropology, Archaeology, or closely related field. 10+ years of experience in archaeological field projects in a cultural resource management environment Working knowledge of relevant federal and state cultural and environmental resource regulations (Section 106, NEPA, Guidelines for Archaeological investigations in various states with emphasis on California and other western states Detail-oriented, strong communication, data collection & analysis skills GIS-based field data collection, analysis, and reporting Excellent technical writing and communication skills Ability to work well independently and as part of a team, including as a team leader Time management and organizational skills Valid driver's license Ability to pass security clearances and background checks Think you have what it takes to be successful in this career opportunity?
