Multi-Asset Solutions ("MAS") is an investing group within the Asset & Wealth Management Division at Goldman Sachs. MAS manages customized multi-asset class portfolios and funds for institutional clients globally, including pension plans, insurance companies, endowments, foundations, healthcare institutions, and sovereign wealth funds. The team specializes in designing and implementing these portfolios using rigorous techniques in asset allocation, risk management, and portfolio analytics. Role
The successful candidate will join our New York investment team, focusing on fundamental credit research and analysis to support multi-asset portfolio construction and generate cross-sector relative value views for our Insurance OCIO portfolios. This role is vital for our multi-asset insurance platform, requiring close coordination with research, portfolio management, and client teams. It is highly analytical, serving as a key link between research, portfolio management, and clients. Core Responsibilities
Conduct fundamental credit analysis across public credit sectors, with a focus on structured credit (e.g., CLOs, CMBS) and private credit (e.g., whole loans, private ABS) Assess relative attractiveness of corporates, structured products, and private credit based on return, yield, and risk Collaborate with portfolio management and client teams to develop long-term strategic asset allocations for Insurance OCIO portfolios, considering client constraints Recommend portfolio enhancements and opportunistic trades across credit markets based on research and organizational resources Coordinate with fixed income managers to understand portfolio positioning and views, informing overall credit strategies Basic Qualifications
At least 2 years of relevant credit research experience with a successful track record Master's Degree or equivalent preferred Background in structured credit research preferred Experience with insurance portfolios preferred Ability to work within a dynamic, global team and demonstrate leadership potential Advanced degree or CFA preferred Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment Self-starter who works well independently and in teams Positive attitude and eagerness to collaborate Strong risk management orientation Excellent communication and writing skills Interest in financial markets, investment principles, and factor investing Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with Bloomberg, Reuters, and other financial data systems is a plus Additional Information
The expected base salary for this position in New York is $100,000-$170,000. Additional discretionary bonuses may be available. Benefits
