Job Summary: The Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) is a professional Registered Nurse responsible for managing clinical and operational activities during assigned shifts. This role supports the Nurse Manager/Director in planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating unit services while maintaining a leadership presence. The ANM also manages both clinical and non-clinical caregivers and provides input for performance evaluations. Key responsibilities include compliance with nursing standards and regulatory requirements, coaching and mentoring staff, and ensuring quality patient care delivery.
Key Responsibilities: Oversee the operations of 27 operating rooms. Collaborate with departments to enhance patient care and surgical outcomes. Implement and maintain best practices in surgical procedures and patient safety. Foster a positive and supportive team environment. Monitor compliance with policies, procedures, and clinical priorities. Coach and mentor staff while promoting a culture of excellence and accountability. Required Qualifications:
Graduate from School of nursing (BS, or BSN). Registered Nurses employed in this role prior to November 1, 2024, are encouraged to pursue the BSN degree but obtaining the degree will not be a condition of employment. Registered Nurse License
(must be current and valid). Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- American Heart Association. Preferred Qualifications:
Recent clinical experience in an acute care hospital setting. Charge Nurse or Relief Charge Nurse experience. Leadership experience. Shared Governance experience. Skills and Certifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) or higher Registered Nurse License (State License required prior to start) BLS Certification - American Heart Association Minimum 3 years of Operating Room RN experience in an Acute Care Hospital Setting
