Description
St. Louis Catholic School is seeking Substitute Teachers for the 2024-2025 school year.
Job Summary
The Substitute Teacher fills in for the classroom teacher in their temporary absence. The Substitute Teacher follows the plans, and guides provided by the classroom teacher. This position reports to the Assistant Principal. Supervision of students may vary based on job availability. Supervision takes place between the hours of 7:30 am - 3:30 pm.
Essential Duties Supports and upholds the philosophy of Catholic education and the mission of the school Supports and adheres to the Code of Conduct and policies and procedures of the school and Diocese Completes all prerequisite training including but not limited to Standard Response Protocol training, Bloodborne Pathogens, and Child Abuse training Maintains confidentiality regarding school matters Supervises children for safety and appropriate behavior Assists students in supervised activities Provides guidance to students on following school rules while in a substitute position Demonstrates a willingness to respond to individual student need Reinforce positive behavior management procedures Knows all emergency procedures including the location of emergency phone numbers and building emergency procedures Communicates effectively with students, parents, and other professionals Communicate with the Assistant Principal and/or Assistant to the Principal about any problems or concerns Demonstrates professionalism in conduct, demeanor, and work habits Follows direction and handles multiple tasks Performs other duties as assigned by the Assistant Principal/and or Assistant to the Principal

Minimum Qualifications
Education: High school diploma
Certifications and Training: Must submit an Ethics and Integrity in Ministry (EIM) Application for Ministry within the first week of employment, participate in an EIM Basic abuse prevention training workshop within 60 days of submitting a complete Application for Ministry, and maintain EIM compliance during the entire term of employment.
