We’re looking for a driven and experienced Business Development Executive to join our team and help us grow our presence in the industry.
Job Overview:
We are seeking a motivated Business Development Executive to build and manage client relationships, drive sales, and provide exceptional service in the logistics and transportation sector. This is a virtual office position based in the Northeast, offering flexibility alongside a competitive benefits package, including health insurance and a 401(k) plan.
The ideal candidate will bring expertise in LTL and parcel sales, a strong understanding of transportation management systems, and a proven track record of success.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing clients in the LTL, truckload, parcel, and international logistics markets.
Identify sales opportunities, generate leads, and close deals to meet or exceed revenue targets.
Collaborate with clients to understand their transportation needs and provide tailored logistics solutions.
Utilize transportation management systems (TMS) to optimize pricing, track performance, and ensure client satisfaction.
Prepare and present pricing proposals, including accessorial fees, to clients with accuracy and transparency.
Stay informed on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor offerings to maintain a competitive edge.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of relevant sales experience in LTL or parcel transportation.
Strong knowledge of transportation management systems (TMS) and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Expertise in pricing strategies and accessorial fee structures within the logistics industry.
Proven ability to build client relationships and achieve sales goals.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
Self-motivated with the ability to thrive in a virtual office environment.
