Duties: Handle a caseload focused on creditors' rights, including foreclosure, bankruptcy, and consumer collections. Represent clients in both state and federal court, including filing motions, attending hearings, and participating in depositions. Engage in discovery processes and conflict resolution, ensuring effective case management. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, becoming a trusted advisor and key point of contact. Provide legal analysis and guidance on complex litigation matters, including appellate cases. Collaborate with senior attorneys to assist in case strategy development and mentoring junior attorneys. Travel for court appearances and client meetings as needed. Requirements: Active membership in good standing with the Missouri State Bar; ability to obtain federal district and bankruptcy court licenses in Missouri if not already licensed. 5+ years of litigation experience; candidates with 5+ years of experience preferred. Strong background in creditors' rights, real estate law, or related litigation fields. Familiarity with legal frameworks such as TILA, RESPA, FDCPA, and the Bankruptcy Code. Demonstrated ability to manage a high caseload and work efficiently under pressure. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong leadership capabilities with a focus on collaboration and teamwork. Education: Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Certifications: Active membership in the Missouri State Bar. Additional state Bar memberships are a plus. Skills: Superior written and oral communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex legal issues. Strong leadership abilities with a focus on mentoring and team development. Advanced problem-solving skills and the ability to take initiative. Proven commitment to excellent client service, with a focus on delivering timely and effective legal solutions.
