ROLE
The Director of Events & Client Development is a strategic leader responsible for conceptualizing, planning, and executing high-impact brand events and client engagement initiatives across the North America region. This role is critical to enhancing brand equity, deepening client loyalty, and driving commercial performance through curated experiences aligned with the Dolce&Gabbana brand DNA. This leader will collaborate cross-functionally with Retail, CRM, Merchandising, Visual, and our Global Communications teams to ensure consistency and excellence in all touchpoints.
Key Responsibilities
Events Strategy & Execution
Lead the global events strategy, overseeing all brand, retail, VIC, and partnership events, from ideation to post-event analysis. Deliver immersive and innovative experiences that elevate client perception and reflect the Dolce&Gabbana luxury brand positioning. Manage high-profile trunkshows, product launch events, private appointments, seasonal events, and commercial in-boutique activations Ensure all events are aligned with brand standards, budget, and business objectives. Monitor industry trends and competitor activity to inform strategic planning and innovation.
Client Development & Engagement
Develop and execute tailored client development strategies to drive acquisition, retention, and reactivation of top-tier clients. Partner with regional retail and CRM teams to customize outreach and gifting strategies by segmentation cluster. Analyze client data to inform experiential and engagement strategies.
Partnerships & Collaborations
Identify and secure strategic brand and client partnerships to amplify event reach and relevance. Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies/vendors to ensure flawless execution and innovation.
Team Leadership & Budget Management
Lead, inspire, and develop North America events team to achieve high-performing events Manage department budgets, vendor negotiations, and ROI reporting across all initiatives. Establish KPIs and performance metrics to track success and continuously refine strategies.
Qualifications
8–10+ years of experience in luxury fashion, hospitality, or lifestyle industries with a strong background in events and clienteling. Proven track record of executing high-profile, high-impact events globally. Deep understanding of luxury client behavior, UHNW engagement, and global market trends. Strong network of event vendor relationships that have experience working within luxury, fashion, art, and hospitality industries. Exceptional leadership, communication, and project management skills. Ability to work under pressure, with discretion, and adapt to rapidly evolving priorities. Experience managing production companies to execute brand vision Flexible schedule including evenings and weekends to support event executions. Proficiency in MS Office, and event management tools.
The annual salary for this role ranges from $160K - $170K. The total compensation amount for a candidate is based on factors including educational background, professional experience, and industry knowledge.
