This role integrates strategic leadership with deep technical expertise and a strong commitment to service excellence. The Director cultivates a high-performing, agile team in a dynamic and time-sensitive environment. Lead and mentor a high-performing systems operations team, setting SMART goals, conducting performance evaluations, and fostering career development. Collaborate across departments and with external partners to ensure operational alignment and shared goals. Oversee change management and automation initiatives with proper documentation, testing, and communication protocols. Champion a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and service-oriented thinking. Client Service & Operational Excellence Develop and implement efficient, standardized processes that drive productivity, quality, and client satisfaction. Monitor key performance indicators to identify trends, reduce incidents, and ensure compliance with SLAs. Serve as the escalation point for high-impact or complex system issues, and oversee the resolution of service requests and incident workflows. Lead operational readiness for client onboarding and system migrations, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruption. Define and enforce automation standards that enhance system performance and reduce manual intervention. Technical Operations Administer and optimize Linux and AIX server environments and DB2 databases, ensuring high availability, integrity, and performance. Execute and coordinate system and software upgrades, patch management, and security compliance across Linux, AIX, and DB2 platforms. Troubleshoot escalated technical issues and proactively manage system health. Support disaster recovery (DR) testing and maintain updated DR and business continuity documentation to ensure operational resilience. Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, MIS, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Minimum 5 years of experience leading systems operations in a financial services or banking environment. Technical Expertise Deep knowledge of DB2 database management, Linux, and AIX server environments. Proven experience with system software implementations, patching cycles, and complex upgrade processes. Ability to translate technical details into clear business language for stakeholders.
