Salary Range: $175,000-$195,000 (Total compensation consists of the faculty base plus a supplemental administrative increment.) This position is only open to current faculty at Manhattan University. This is a 12-month position. The successful candidate will retain their current faculty rank and tenure, and the faculty base portion will continue to receive any annual faculty salary increases. Teaching Load: Will be reduced to 1:1 Position Summary: The Interim Associate Provost plays a key leadership role in the Provost's office by advancing Manhattan University's academic mission by supporting and overseeing academic programming initiatives, academic operations, and faculty development. Reporting to the Provost, the Interim Associate Provost collaborates with deans, department chairs, faculty, and administrative units to ensure academic compliance to further the strategic initiatives of the provost's office. This is an in person on campus non remote position. Primary Responsibilities Include: Coordination with the Deans to ensure representation at admissions and orientation events. Oversight and direct management of Study Abroad, including budgetary and fiscal oversight of all programs and development of new programs and initiatives. Work with the Director of Study Abroad on policy and procedures, exchange agreements, and student/faculty engagement in study abroad. Crisis management for any issues and relationship management with faculty, parents, and providers, and institution leadership. Management of the Faculty Development Committee, including support for panels, events, and related activities. Support events and programs that focus on excellence in learning and teaching, research and scholarly work, and service/leadership for faculty. Coordination of New Faculty Orientation and opportunities and resources for new faculty. Manage the Associate Director for Center for Graduate School & Fellowship Advisement, ensuring success of fellowship advising, pre-health advising, pre-law advising, and the undergraduate summer research scholars program. Manage the pre-health faculty advisor and Chair of HPAC. Serve as a member of the Health Professions Advisory Committee, ensuring a smooth pre-health processes, including advising, committee letters, pre-health concentration, 1 credit seminar class, and honor society. Supervision and management of pre-law advising and faculty pre-law advisor. Collaboration with Director of Assessment to facilitate assessment requirements for regional and program based accreditation activities. Service as guest member on Academic Affairs Board Committee, acting as secretary. Attend and take draft minutes. Service as a member of the Educational Affairs Committee. Draft agendas for each meeting and keep track of various policy initiatives. Serve as the primary contact for Compliance on the development and approval of new policies for academic affairs. With the VP of Mission, facilitation of faculty participation in both internal and external formation programs. Lead new initiatives and serve on various committees as needed. Serve as the representative of the Provost in their absence. Other special projects and duties as assigned. Qualifications: Tenured faculty member in an academic department at the University Terminal degree in an area of study offered at the University. Progressive leadership experience at the University, such as serving as a department chair or program director.
