Job Summary
The Associate Director, Control Management is tasked with maintaining comprehensive business continuity and disaster recovery plans to ensure organizational resilience in the face of disruptions. This role involves ensuring that these plans are current, thoroughly tested, and effective. The Associate Director will conduct risk assessments to identify potential threats to the organization's operations and design scenario testing exercises to evaluate preparedness for disruptive events.
Responsibilities
Maintain business continuity plans, disaster recovery plans, and other relevant procedures. Ensure plans are up to date, tested, and effective in the event of a disruption. Conduct risk assessments to identify potential threats to the organization and its operations. Execute scenario testing exercises to assess preparedness for disruptive events and supporting business process owners with dependency mapping. Provide training and support to employees on resilience plans and procedures and communicate effectively with stakeholders. Work with cross functional teams to ensure alignment and integration of resilience strategies. Regularly monitor the effectiveness of resilience plans and report on the status to stakeholders. Identify areas for improvement in resilience planning and implementation and develop and implement enhancements. Assist with special projects and ad hoc assignments as needed to support departmental and organizational objectives.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required. 5+ years’ experience in resilience or business continuity planning. Ability to analyze complex situations, identify potential risks, and develop effective solutions. Ability to prioritize efficiently and maintain detailed records. Thorough organizational understanding of the potential risks and impacts to the business’s operation. Ability to plan, organize, and manage projects related to resilience planning and implementation. Commitment to quality, accuracy, and continuous improvement. Ability to foster a collaborative, results-oriented work environment. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated capacity to achieve results in a dynamic setting. Organizational and administrative skills. Skilled in managing sensitive information while upholding privacy. Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
