For Kids Only Afterschool (FKO) is a non-profit, out-of-school time provider based in 17 locations throughout five cities. With a mission to support the holistic needs of children, FKO fully believes learning extends well beyond the classroom, and OST Educators are a key component to building life-long learning skills.
Job Summary:
The Family Access & Enrollment Specialist is responsible for the case management of family enrollment, including tuition management and financial assistance through childcare subsidy programs. This position reports to FKOS's Director of Family Access and Enrollment and works closely with FKO's program directors.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Enrollment and Tuition Process and maintain family enrollment and tuition paperwork; Ensure tuition payments are received, deposited and recorded; Reconcile tuition accounts on a regular basis to ensure billing accuracy; Manage debt collections process for both active and inactive families;
Financial Assistance/Subsidy Management Authorize childcare subsidies and reassessments; Maintain current subsidy spreadsheet: Enter attendance for childcare subsidies, ensuring accuracy and deadlines are met; Support families with enrollment on EEC's financial assistance waitlist;
General Performa all duties in a confidential manner and in accordance with FKO and EEC policies; Communicate via phone, email, and virtual/face-to-face meetings with families regarding access and enrollment (registration, tuition, financial assistance, etc.) in a professional and supportive way; Provide training, technical assistance and ongoing support to the District and Site Directors; Develop reports on a regular basis regarding enrollment, past due balances, subsidy utilization, etc; Perform clerical duties (phone calls, filing, data entry, mailings etc.); Participate in meetings (Site Director, FKO Leadership Team, etc); and Perform all other tasks and duties assigned by the Director of Family Access and Enrollment and the Executive Director
Qualifications
Education and Experience Bi-lingual (Spanish) preferred Compassion for supporting children and families Strong case managment, communication and organizational skills Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Work and Excel Ability to work independently and as part of a team Ability to travel amongst FKO communities Mass pass MA EEC Background Record Check
Physical Requirements: Requires standing for long periods of time, as well as stooping, squatting, and running Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
