Schedule: Monday - Friday, 2:00 pm - 10:30 pm, with weekends off!
Join our dynamic team as a Maintenance Technician, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring efficient operation and maintenance of our production and facility equipment. Your expertise will help keep our machinery running smoothly, contributing to our overall productivity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct repairs and maintenance on all production and facility equipment to ensure optimal machinery availability for both day and night operations.
- Review equipment reports submitted by associates, document actions taken, and maintain detailed repair logs in accordance with company policy.
- Complete all necessary documentation for equipment-related activities, including assembly and disassembly forms.
- Perform preventative maintenance (PM) on equipment and keep accurate PM logs with proper documentation as required by company policy.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines set by the company and government regulations while working on equipment, ensuring a safe work environment.
- Oversee the maintenance and security of the battery-charging area and the equipment stored there.
- Manage company tools and parts used in job performance, including inventory maintenance, safe operation, and secure storage.
- If authorized, procure necessary tools and equipment from local vendors to fulfill job requirements.
Collaboration:
- Internal: Work closely with warehouse, production, and supervisory staff, as well as maintenance and sanitation personnel.
- External: Engage with outside vendors as needed.
Qualifications:
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent is preferred; additional mechanic training or trade school degrees are highly valued.
- Experience: A minimum of six months of relevant mechanic experience is required.
- Skills: Knowledge of equipment repair and operation, proficiency in reading and writing, basic math skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit occasionally, stand and walk frequently.
- Lift weights ranging from 1-10 lbs continuously to 25-50 lbs occasionally, with heavier weights managed rarely.
- Capability to carry various weights regularly and occasionally push/pull equipment.
- Perform actions such as climbing, stooping, bending, reaching, grasping, and manipulating objects as required by the job.
Compensation: The expected pay range for this role is between $27.00 and $28.00 per hour, depending on experience and skills. This position is also eligible for overtime compensation and shift differentials.
