Responsible for vehicle maintenance and repairs including performing preventive maintenance: repairing brakes and electrical systems: repairing and rebuilding all types of engines: overhauling transmissions: respond to breakdowns: performing CDE, DOT and opacities inspections as a certified inspector:
Education/Certification:
High School diploma or equivalent Specialized courses in school bus body and chassis, diesel and automotive engines for 1 or more of the following Freightliner/Thomas, International, Cummins, Mercedes Benz, GM, Ford or Dodge. Criminal background check required for hire. Valid Colorado driver's license. Commercial driver's license (CDL). CDE Inspector Certification Preferred DOT Inspector Certification Brake Certification Colorado Diesel Emissions/Opacity Certification
Experience:
Over two years and up to and including five years of experience as a journeyman vehicle technician or mechanic and one year as a Vehicle Mechanic I, Transportation.
This is a full time position.
Starting Salary is Grade 11, starting at $31.84. Placement dependent on experance
