General Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Azure Cloud Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of producing quality deliverables and will play a crucial role in managing all facets of IT Administration related to BSF services/products hosted on the Microsoft Azure platform. Job Title: Azure Cloud Administrator Reports to: Lead System Administrator General Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Azure Cloud Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of producing quality deliverables and will play a crucial role in managing all facets of IT Administration related to BSF services/products hosted on the Microsoft Azure platform. As an Azure Cloud Administrator, you will collaborate closely with multiple departments and development vendors to ensure that our Azure infrastructure operates at the highest levels of availability and performance. You will be responsible for monitoring the environment, identifying and resolving issues, and implementing best practices to optimize our cloud operations. Additionally, you will work with your team to develop and maintain comprehensive documentation and system diagrams. Essential To The Position Must have received Jesus Christ as his/her personal Savior and be in full agreement with the Bible Study Fellowship Statement of Faith, Human Sexuality Policy, Core Values and Cultural Commitments. Principle Duties & Responsibilities Manage all aspects of BSF’s Azure production environments – deployments, patching, monitoring, backups, and operational response. Optimize system operations and resource utilization, and performs system capacity analysis and planning along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance Manage the organization’s Entra ID and B2C Environments Manage Azure DevOps processes and environments Secure and protect Azure networks and systems from threats Analyze and resolve complex problems associated with Azure networks and environments Recommend design approaches and architectures for cloud-based systems Maintain up-to-date documentation of system configuration and operating procedures Works with Software Development teams to oversee DevOps and Azure environments Administer Azure networks, servers, applications, storage, back-up and other data protection technologies Provide technical assistance by responding to inquiries from others regarding errors, problems, or questions about software, hardware, systems, and infrastructure Monitor performance and applying corrective action to ensure optimal performance Manage work to meet milestones in accordance with the project plan and keeping management and project managers informed of issues and status Be part of an emergency only after hours call rotation CORE COMPETENCIES Planning and Coordination Organizational Skill Excellent Verbal/Written Communication Skills Customer Service Skills Troubleshooting/Analytical Skills Skills, Qualifications, & Experience To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty listed above satisfactorily. Skills Cloud Management and Azure Services: Must understand Azure Virtual Machines, Storage, Networking, and Azure Databases to setup and maintain cloud infrastructure Security and Identity Management: Skills in managing security, identity, and release management within the Azure environment Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Ability to monitor and troubleshoot issues within the Azure environment Backup, Recovery, Disaster Management: Skills in managing backups, recovery, and other BC/DR tasks Cost Optimization and Resource Management: Experience evaluating and optimizing costs and resources within Azure. Documentation: Must have the ability to create and maintain technical documentation and system diagrams Qualifications & Experience BS degree in Information Technology or related field or an equivalent combination of education or experience. Five or more (5+) years working in the Information Technology field managing business critical cloud environments hosted in Microsoft Azure. Two or more (2+) years working with software development teams or vendors in supporting dev and prod cloud environments. Certified Azure Administrator (AZ-104) preferred. Spiritual Requirements Thorough understanding of the Christian faith, its doctrines, and the BSF Statement of Faith. Follow Matthew 18 principles in addressing issues with fellow employees. Studying the Bible in preparation for each weekday’s group meeting. Lead staff prayer time and your table group Bible study as reasonably requested. Prepare for and attend each Day of Prayer. Employees must fulfill the performance standards of this position and comply with policies, guidelines and procedures of BSF, including those set out in the Employee Handbook or otherwise communicated (verbally or in writing) to employees. WORKING CONDITIONS Modular office environment Sitting for long periods of time Possible eyestrain from looking at computer screen for long periods of time. Travel twice a year to staff events hosted at HQ, or where designated, as required. Additional Information This position is located full-time in DFW. Working hours are typically 7:30am - 5pm, Monday through Thursday with half days on Friday BSF offers major medical, dental and life insurance as well as a generous vacation policy.
