Associate Project Manager II

Under supervision, the candidate will serve as a Project Engineer in the Field Operations Unit of Quality Assurance within the Bureau of Engineering Review and Support, Division of Bridges. Responsibilities include visiting construction sites, overseeing activities such as bridge component erection, concrete and asphalt placement, embankment, subgrade, and base installation, pile driving, drilled shaft installation, and formwork for reinforcing bars. The role involves generating field reports, reviewing design drawings, verifying project and material acceptance records for compliance with NYSDOT standards, and ensuring safety and quality through inspections and meetings.

Field construction experience, strong verbal and written communication skills.

Minimum Qualifications:
One year of full-time experience supervising employees on engineering or construction projects valued at $1,000,000 or more, or equivalent education and experience as detailed in the original description.
Additional requirements include specific educational credentials or equivalent experience, with credits given for college coursework, advanced degrees, or professional licenses.
For supervisory or project management experience, additional years of experience are required as specified.
Preferred Skills:
Field construction experience and effective communication skills.
