Digital Marketing & Brand Development Agency | Charlotte, NC Back End PHP Developer The Basics At a Minimum Our growing interactive agency in uptown Charlotte is seeking a full-time Back End PHP Developer. This talented developer will work collaboratively with our close-knit team of graphic designers, coders, analysts, and clients to define and execute all aspects of interactive development. Location: Charlotte, NC Job Type: Full Time Experience: 2+ Years The Rundown You should be capable of helping other team members with problems that need solutions, and managing both personal and small team projects. You should be an individual with strong communication skills and the desire to interact with both clients and team members in a consistently positive manner, living by the motto... "anything is possible." You should be driven and detail-oriented with strong leadership qualities. We are a small team of creative problem solvers working with a variety of brands both regionally and nationally. Our daily tasks include branding, graphic design, interactive design/development, user interface design, SEO, and social media. We have a laid-back environment where we work hard and play hard. Our team members collaborate to produce high-quality work while enjoying a creative family atmosphere. Exciting work environment Monthly Potlucks and Lunch & Learns 100% covered health insurance including dental and vision plans Generous vacation time, including floating holidays and sick/personal days 401k with matching Performance-based compensation Skills To Pay The Bills: 2+ years advanced experience in LAMP development Expertise in object-oriented programming with PHP Experience with PHP MVC Frameworks such as Laravel, Symfony, and CodeIgniter Expertise in relational database management and optimization for MySQL Leveraging third-party APIs to retrieve and write data using REST and SOAP Experience with Linux-based operating systems and their command line tools Knowledge of DNS setup and management Solid understanding of web standards and usability Pay special attention to detail and conduct QA testing prior to pushing code live Maintain project timelines and meet deadlines Desired Skills: Experience with frontend frameworks Vue.js and Alpine.js Experience with testing frameworks including PHPUnit and Cypress Experience with build tools including Webpack and Vite Experience with real-time communication tools such as Pusher and Websockets Experience with building Progressive Web Applications (PWAs) Experience with server tuning, caching, and techniques to decrease resource usage and load times Familiarity with Shopify's Liquid templating language and BigCommerce's Stencil templating language If this sounds like the right team environment for you, we want to hear from you!
